Drivin' N' Cryin' 30th Anniversary TOUR!!!

Drivin' N' Cryin' - 30th Anniversary tour!!!

In October 1985 Drivin' N' Cryin' played their first show at Atlanta's famed 688 Club. The band quickly gained attention for its blistering live shows and amassed a rabid fanbase in the fertile soil of the late-1980s music scene in the Southeast. Now 30 years later, founding members Kevn Kinney and Tim Nielsen find themselves enjoying a milestone anniversary for the band, having survived the pressures of fame, a shifting musical landscape, multiple lineup changes, and miles of back roads and highways to arrive here.

With a gold record, 10 full-length albums and a handful of EPs to their credit, the band still refuses to rest on its laurels, adding Jason and the Scorchers axe man, Warner E. Hodges, to the lineup and continuing to tour the United States and Europe to great acclaim. In 2015, a vinyl-only collection of 10 choice cuts from the band's 4-EP 'Songs' series, entitled Best of Songs, was released on Nashville's Plowboy Records. Comfortable with their past and confident in their future, the band has an arsenal of songs, a full tank of gas, and no plans of stopping any time soon.

Richie Ramone is the fastest, most powerful drummer who ever played with the legendary punk rock band the Ramones.  He joined the Ramones in 1983 and first appeared with the band on their Subterranean Jungle tour.

Richie performed in over 500 shows around the world with the Ramones and wrote several critically-acclaimed and fan-favorite songs for the albums Animal Boy, Too Tough to Die and Halfway to Sanity.  Punk rock icon, Joey Ramone, remarked that “[Richie] saved the band as far as I’m concerned. He’s the greatest thing to happen to the Ramones. He put the spirit back in the band.”

Richie is notable as the only Ramones drummer to sing lead vocals on Ramones songs, "(You) Can’t Say Anything Nice” as

well as the unreleased “Elevator Operator.” Richie was also the only drummer to be the sole composer of Ramones songs including their hit “Somebody Put Something in My Drink” which remained a staple in the Ramones set list until their last show in 1996 and continues to be covered by new generations of bands worldwide.  “Somebody Put Something in My Drink” was included on “Ramones Mania,” the first Ramones album to go gold as well as “Loud, Fast Ramones: Their Toughest Hits,” an album comprised of songs hand picked by Johnny Ramone as the Ramones’ best works.  Richie also wrote "I'm Not Jesus," "Can't Say Anything Nice," "I Know Better Now," "Humankind" and "Smash You" which became the title track for one of the Ramones' most successful re-releases, Smash You: Live '85. Richie's "I'm Not Jesus" took the Ramones in a heavier direction and has become a frequent cover tune for innumerable heavy metal bands.  Richie’s songwriting contributions were supported by Joey Ramone:  “I encouraged Richie to write songs . . . we never let anybody else write our songs.”

Hard Rock Show! This is Crypt Trip and Sweat Lodge's last stop on their "mid-west" tour.

Sweat Lodge

Sweat Lodge are aptly named, as the sound produced by this Austin TX, vibe tribe is best experienced in a dark, smoke filled room. Eschewing modern tendencies in heavy music to rely on brute force, the group combines epic, technical songwriting with enough neolithic heaviness to keep the cavemen happy. Beginning as a bass/drums/vox trio in summer 2010, the band developed a groove-laden sound that relied on Caleb Dawson’s heavy yet nuanced backbeat and the saturated tone of Austin “The Shock” Shockley's gnarled bass-fuzz, laying the foundation for singer Cody Lee's soaring vocals.
