Pissed On (Kentucky GRIND) / DDA / Orchiectomy / Sparse / Active Shooter

RSVP - $7

Hailing from Kentucky, Pissed On’s forthcoming The Hanged Man EP promises to be one of grindcore’s most jam-packed releases in 2017. Its five songs may only clock in at ten minutes, but the conceptual depth and broad strokes of grind, punk, hardcore, powerviolence, death metal and noise contribute to make the duo’s third release (a demo and a split with Street Rat comprise the band’s limited discography) a powerful piece of work despite its brevity.

A Giant Dog, Frog Hair, Hammer Party and Howard & The Nosebleeds

RSVP / TICKETS - $10

A Giant Dog is raucous ear candy culled from the hook-driven melodies of Slade, the glammy swagger of Marc Bolan, the morbid fantasy of Killer-era Alice Cooper, and the unpredictable wit of Sparks. Sabrina and Andrew’s lyrics, equal parts brutally honest, clever, and debased, have a knack for taking their idiosyncratic depravities and making them feel universal. These songs are by, for, and about the losers, freaks, and outcasts. The lonely. The terminally horny. Boozehounds and party animals. No band better speaks to the hearts of slackers, burnouts, rockers, sluts, and creeps everywhere than A Giant Dog.

BOY HARSHER is a dark electronic duo that produces gritty dance beats infused with ethereal vocals, creating a sound that is eerie, intense and incredibly danceable. Augustus Muller develops the underbelly of sound with minimal beats and grinding synths, where Jae Matthews whispers, screams and chants on top. Together, the music created is somewhere between industrial, drone and confessional storytelling. Muller and Matthews both have a strong background in film and their cinematic approach translated effectively in both their recordings and live performance.

RSVP / BUY TICKETS / $10

Dark Blue follow up their debut LP, ‘Pure Reality’, with ‘Start Of The World’ – a soundtrack of a decaying United States. Each song drips with the realities of atrocities happening all around us ; John Sharkey III pushes Dark Blue far beyond the post-punk meets oi sound they perfected on their earlier releases, and adds elements of brit-pop and shoegaze. A pop album that makes no apologies.

Demo tape from this new LA band, and man does it rip! Power, aggression lady-fronted hardcore punk. You can definitely hear shades of newer bands like La Misma and Sad Boys, but this isn't really as pogo-y as the later, and is a little more straightforward hardcore than the latter. If you dug the Blazing Eye demo you should absolutely get this as well... totally top-shelf stuff! - Sorry State
